Python Job: Lead Tester

ASML APPS Overlay Software is looking for Senior Test Automation engineers who can take their teams to the next level.

Role and responsibilities

Improve the quality of our software by focusing on automation and prevention, embed more proactive quality mindset within the team.

• Design, build and maintain automated tests and integrate them with the CI pipeline
• Implement and/or assist new automated tests and maintain existing tests
• Follow and apply industry trends and new practices, test automation tools, and methodologies
• Review functional and software requirements and provide relevant input
• Proactively support TDD (Test Driven Development) / BDD (Behavior driven development) adaption
• Contribute towards predictable delivery of changes by creating/maturing integration, testing and delivery pipelines
• Improve test artefact management and traceability matrix within the team
• Contribute to improving the state of existing automated tests
• Contribute to maturing of test competence within the department
• Be part of Agile development teams and work closely with Developers
• Use appropriate metrics to validate and improve software quality

Education and experience

• A technical Bachelor or master’s degree, with a master’s in computer science being preferred.
• ISTQB or T-Map Certificate
• 5+ years of experience in software testing
• Experience with automation, CI/CD practices, tools and scripting
• Experience with version control (git), continuous integration, test automation, stubs and mocks
• Familiarity with BDD software tools such as Cucumber.
• Familiarity with REST APIs
• Experience with programming/scripting/automation, like: JAVA, Python, JUnit
• Good understanding of Agile concepts and experience working in an Agile environment
• Preferably experience of working in a large organization
